Chaplain Gary W. Holden
Chaplain Gary W. Holden was sworn in as the Cumberland County Sheriff Senior Chaplain in May, 2012.
He is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He has received hundreds of hours of training in Crisis Management and is a graduate of the Emergency Management Institute of FEMA and a member of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). He is a trainer with the Department of Homeland Security Incidence Response to Terrorist Bombing (IRTB) classes.
Chaplain Holden is a member of and has also trained in Pastoral and Group and Advanced Group Crisis Intervention with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and is a member of the State of New Jersey Alpha Crisis Management Team.
Chaplain Holden is a Board Certified Master Chaplain (CMC) by The American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (CHS).
He served as a chaplain after 911 at Ground Zero in NYC working with the New York City Police and Fire Departments and the Port Authority Police Department. He has also held positions as Chief Chaplain for The Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation in Philadelphia and been involved in chaplain work with The Battleship New Jersey Museum in Camden, NJ. Chaplain Holden is a regular speaker at patriotic events and services.
Chaplain Holden is the Senior Chaplain of the Vineland New Jersey Police Department, now with seven chaplains, which is a program that he helped to found and develop.
Gary is also the founder, President and Executive Director of The Police Chaplain Program of New Jersey started in 2011 to help the law enforcement community to start chaplain programs and credential police chaplains. He has been involved in the training of over 500 police chaplains. He is also the New Jersey State Representative for the International Conference of Police Chaplains.
Chaplain Frank Ippolito
Frank Ippolito was born in Chicago, IL in 1957. He moved to California in 1973 and graduated from Katella High school of Anaheim in 1975. Since then, he has followed a life-long calling into a pastoral and teaching ministry.
He served as a missionary in the Alps of Austria for 6 years where he was able to see much of Europe. As a result of his time there, Frank is able to communicate in both German and Italian.
Educationally, Frank has earned Doctoral degrees in both Theology and Bible. He uses this training in his weekly teaching ministry. He also travels to different countries to teach and is often invited to speak at different Bible Colleges around the world. Pastor Frank’s Bible teaching ministry can be heard on his daily radio broadcast, Pressing Onward.
Currently, Frank is a volunteer Cumberland County Sheriff’s Chaplain and also serves as a chaplain with the Vineland, NJ Police Department. He often responds with the Red Cross and the Salvation Army and serves as a volunteer in many capacities. He is the Senior Pastor of the Calvary Chapel church in Vineland, NJ. Frank is married to his wife, Gerri, and has 13 grandchildren.
Chaplain Daniel Vasquez
Daniel Vasquez grew up in Corona, CA. After High school he spent four years in the US Air Force. He married his high school sweetheart, Erin in 1998. After he was discharged from the Air Force they moved to New Jersey where he began to serve at Calvary Chapel in Vineland.
He began his ministry serving at Calvary Chapel of Vineland in 2000 as a sound technician. He then served as Youth Pastor from 2002-2015. During this time, he went back to college and in 2016 finished his doctoral work in Theology.
He has served as a chaplain for Billy Graham and their disaster relief team since 2005. He also served as a Vineland chaplain from 2014 – 2016. He currently works with the Bridgeton Police Department as a chaplain and was sworn in as a chaplain for the Sherriff’s Department in April 2018. Daniel is the pastor at Calvary Fellowship in Cedarville NJ. He is married and has four children.
